The Rotterdam International Film Festival
Created in June 1972 by Hubert Bals, the Rotterdam International Film Festival set out to discover and support rare and innovative cinematic worlds. Today, it is one of the most important film festivals in Europe. It has been taking place for more than ten years during the last week of January in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Even if only first and second films are eligible for prizes, it is well-known among the major film festivals for having one of the most eclectic feature film selections.
What does that mean for us?
You can imagine that for us it’s a tremendous opportunity, a superb chance to have an international premiere at one of the biggest film festivals in Europe. Wonderful discoveries await us, and it’s also a chance to showcase the work of the whole cast and crew over a period of almost 8 years, and to measure ourselves against tomorrow’s filmmakers.
